DAY 1 : UK – Amsterdam.

Fly to Amsterdam where you will be met and transferred to your ship for embarkation. Tonight you are welcomed on board with a cocktail party and welcome dinner. Includes Dinner

DAY 2 : Amsterdam – Volendam.

After breakfast, join the included sightseeing tour and canal cruise of Amsterdam. Admire the city’s pretty bridges, tree-lined streets and gabled merchants’ houses, many dating back to the Netherlands’ ‘Golden Age’ in the 17th century. During lunch back on board, cruise across Europe’s largest man-made lake, the Ijsselmeer, to the old fishing town of Volendam. Later, cruise to Cologne and enjoy a city walk. DAY 3 : Cologne.

Founded by the Romans as Colonia 2,000 years ago, this majestic city is packed with historic sights, including a picture-postcard old quarter, fine city walls and the mighty UNESCO-protected Gothic cathedral.Includes Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

DAY 4 : Cochem.

Admire the rich landscapes of the Moselle from your ship this morning before reaching Cochem, one of Germany’s most beautiful towns. Nestled amongst rolling hills, this enchanting medieval town is all half-timbered houses and winding lanes, overlooked by an imposing yet ornate 11th century castle. Join the included walking tour of its olde-worlde streets before tasting some local Moselle wines at a traditional tavern. Includes Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

DAY 5 : Koblenz – Rüdesheim.

Wake up this morning in Koblenz, a 2,000-year-old city sitting where the rivers Rhine and Moselle meet. Perhaps join the optional walking tour around its winding lanes, bustling squares and historic buildings? This afternoon, your cruise continues through the glorious central stretch of the Rhine valley, sailing past fairytale hilltop castles, charming villages and the legendary Lorelei Rock of the Rhine Gorge, a UNESCO World Heritage site. Later, arrive in Rüdesheim. Stroll along the famous, tavern-lined Drosselgasse on the included walking tour and visit Siegfried’s Mechanical Musical Instrument Museum, home to an extraordinary collection of antique music machines. DAY 6 : Mannheim – Speyer.

This morning, cruise to Mannheim and join the included trip to historic Heidelberg. Overlooking the Neckar, this impressive town crouches under a huge, red sandstone castle and boasts a charming old town and marketplace. This afternoon, continue to the imperial city of Speyer, renowned for its UNESCO-protected Romanesque cathedral, Jewish baths and old city gate. Tonight, there’s a Captain’s Gala Dinner on board.Includes Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

DAY 7 : Strasbourg.

After breakfast set off on an included tour of Strasbourg, the enchanting capital of the Alsace region. This fascinating UNESCO World Heritage Site is a delightful blend of cobbled lanes and half-timbered houses which has changed hands between the French and Germans down the centuries. See the European Parliament building, tour the interior of the stunning Gothic cathedral and visit the La Petite France old quarter, where 500-year-old houses cluster around miniature canals. DAY 8 : Basel – Zürich – UK.

After breakfast, disembark your ship and transfer to Zürich for your flight to the UK, or extend your stay in Zürich. Includes Breakfast
